Description	淡水區漁會轄區包括新北市淡水、八里、林口、三芝與臺北市北投、士林區等鄉鎮。淡水早期即為聞名之國際港，大小船隻聚集，往來交通貿易頻繁。隨著地理環境之變遷，淡水河河道淤塞，淡水港也就逐漸沒落。民國七十年在歷經相關單位的審慎規劃後，政府於淡水河口北岸沙崙里，投資興建淡水第二漁港，成為北部地區重要漁港之一。民國17年4月始有淡水區漁會的歷史，由當時淡水、八里、三芝地區漁民組成淡水漁業組合，會址設在淡水街淡水字烽火17番地。民國30年時改組成立淡水漁業協同組合。民國32年時奉命改組為淡水漁業會。民國35年將漁會之經濟部門分出組成淡水漁業產銷合作社，淡水漁會則保留推廣部門及其經營經濟事業。民國39年再將兩者合併為淡水漁會。民國44年7月全省漁會改進，定名為淡水區漁會迄今。
